    PE3 Action: LED Street Lights

    Program Summary: This action was originally approved on Jan 3, 2018 and updated/resubmitted on Jun 19, 2019. --Marbletown worked more than three years to reach 100% LED streetlight conversion. We have done visual inventories to confirm all the LEDs are in place. --Four of the lights are still not showing up properly on our bills as LEDs. Since getting a billing adjustment can take many more months, we are submitting this action with the bills we currently have, showing 92% conversion. This is still more than enough for the maximum 10 points available.     PE5 Action: Recycling Bins in Government Buildings

    Program Summary: 1 point awarded for recycling bins in common areas under the old version 2 action called "3.20 Provide recycling bins next to all trash receptacles in local gov't buildings". Marbletown is a legacy applicant. This documentation was originally submitted on Oct. 14, 2015 under the old system (prior to the release of the CSC portal website in 2018).

    PE5 Action: Residential Organic Waste Program

    Program Summary: This action was originally approved on Aug 7, 2017. It was updated and resubmitted on Jun 19, 2019. Two points requested are for the drop-off yard waste program. Four points requested are for the drop-off food waste program. --Marbletown started paying Commumity Compost Company for food waste pickup in 2016. --The cost has been $70 per month. That includes a 48-gallon container rental and weekly pickup at our Transfer Station, with a max weight of 220 pounds. --The average weekly pickup weight in 2016 was 61 pounds. So far in 2019, the average has been 196 pounds. --Marbletown also has a yard waste collection program. Grass, leaves and brush are free. Due to community feedback, the town decided to keep accepting larger branches and tree trunks over 6 inches in diameter. The price breakdown for this larger “brush” was approved in 2018. UPLOADED DOCUMENTS 1. Page 1, right column, shows the price breakdown for branches/tree trunks that are more than 6” in diameter. 3. Composting Ads - Original and Version 2.pdf - Shows our original newspaper ad on the left, and the updated layout on the right. 4. Marbletown Composting Brochure - v1 2018.pdf - With the help of neighboring New Paltz, Marbletown created a brochure focusing on home composting.
